Professor Lynch

Professor Lynch is an Associate Professor in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney, Australia. Since accepting the role in 2007, Professor Lynch has developed two units of study that relate to the practice of peace journalism: Conflict-Resolving Media and Conflict-Sensitive Development Practice. Professor Lynch has also taught ‘Conflict-Resolving Media’ at the School of Journalism at Cardiff University and at the Rotary Programme at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. In addition to his work as an Associate Professor, Professor Lynch continues to write, report and broadcast regularly as a journalist working in peace journalism, as well as making documentary films. Professor Lynch’s work in this field has been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the 2017 Luxembourg Peace Prize for his contributions to peace journalism in both theory and practice.
